As I settled in to my new life in a rural community, I explored the area and its buildings in order to derive subject matter. Coming from a suburban area surrounded by urban influences, I found the rural landscape to be completely new and fascinating. The landscape, the architecture and the history of our area provided an opportunity for much exploration. The pieces below are very representative of what we have here but can also be generalized to other rural areas of our country.
